The Music Moves Europe Awards 2024 is a prize that recognizes and supports the emerging artists who represent the European sound of today and tomorrow. The awards are part of the European Union’s efforts to promote and foster the European music sector, which contributes to the cultural, social, and economic development of the region.
The fifteen nominees for the Music Moves Europe Awards 2024 were announced at BIME Festival in Bilbao on Thursday 26th of October. They are:
Bulgarian Cartrader (Bulgaria): A duo that combines electronic beats, pop melodies, and witty lyrics to create catchy and humorous songs about cars, love, and life.
Fran Vasilić (Croatia): A singer-songwriter who blends folk, indie, and soul influences to craft emotional and intimate stories with her powerful voice and guitar.
Giift (Denmark): A trio that mixes rock, pop, and synth elements to produce energetic and anthemic tunes that celebrate youth, freedom, and friendship.
Pearly Drops (Finland): A duo that fuses dream pop, indie, and R&B sounds to create atmospheric and ethereal songs that explore themes of identity, sexuality, and spirituality.
Zaho de Sagazan (France): A rapper and producer who draws inspiration from his Moroccan roots, his Parisian upbringing, and his global travels to deliver versatile and vibrant tracks that showcase his lyrical skills and musical diversity.
ClockClock (Germany): A quartet that experiments with electronic, classical, and jazz influences to create innovative and immersive compositions that challenge the boundaries of music and time.
Arny Margret (Iceland): A singer and multi-instrumentalist who uses her angelic voice, piano, and harp to create enchanting and elegant songs that transport the listener to a magical world of fantasy and folklore.
yunè pinku (Ireland): A singer and producer who blends pop, hip-hop, and trap influences to create catchy and colorful songs that express her personality, opinions, and experiences as a young woman of Asian descent in Ireland.
Tramhaus (Netherlands): A band that combines indie, rock, and funk elements to produce groovy and catchy songs that reflect their passion, energy, and fun-loving attitude.
Ash Olsen (Norway): A singer and guitarist who mixes folk, pop, and country influences to create heartfelt and honest songs that share his personal stories, struggles, and hopes.
Berry Galazka (Poland): A singer and rapper who fuses pop, punk, and rap influences to create rebellious and provocative songs that challenge stereotypes, norms, and expectations.
Ana Lua Caiano (Portugal): A singer and pianist who blends jazz, soul, and pop influences to create sophisticated and soulful songs that showcase her vocal range, musical talent, and poetic sensibility.

waterbaby (Sweden): A duo that combines pop, indie, and electronic influences to create catchy and quirky songs that explore themes of love, loss, and loneliness.
These nominees are set to take center stage and captivate audiences worldwide with their original and diverse music. They will all perform at ESNS, the European showcase festival and conference that takes place in Groningen, the Netherlands, from January 17 to 20, 2024. ESNS is the platform for new European music, where more than 350 acts from 40 countries showcase their talent to a professional and public audience.
The winners of the Music Moves Europe Awards 2024 will be selected by an international jury of music professionals and revealed at the Music Moves Europe Awards ceremony on Thursday 18 January, 2024 at ESNS. Five artists will receive €10,000 each, and one artist will receive the Grand Jury Prize, which includes an additional green touring voucher worth €5,000. The public will also have the chance to vote for their favorite nominee and select the winner of the Public Choice Award, which includes €5,000. The voting will take place via the Music Moves Europe Awards website: www.mmeawards.eu.
