From 17-20 January 2024, Groningen, the Netherlands, will host ESNS with a diverse line-up of music acts from across the continent. With around 300 acts and over 40,000 visitors expected, ESNS has been a launch pad for international careers, with artists such as Dua Lipa, Sigrid and many more.
The Eurosonic Noorderslag (ESNS) festival is a four-day combination of music festival, industry conference and award show, celebrating the best of the European music industry.
This year’s ESNS will showcase a wide range of talent, including Ireland’s CMAT, Iceland’s Arny Margret, Portugal’s Maro and many more. The event will also highlight Dutch talent and focus on Poland’s music sector.
In addition to the musical showcase, ESNS will host several music awards ceremonies, including the Music Moves Europe Awards and the European Festival Awards. These awards celebrate emerging artists and recognise excellence in the organisation of music festivals across Europe.
The Grand Jury Prize at the MME Awards is €10,000 plus a green tour voucher worth €5,000. Previous winners of the MME Grand Jury Prize include Stromae, Rosalía and Christine and the Queens.
The 15 nominees for this year’s grand prize are Bulgarian Cartrader (Bulgaria), Fran Vasilić (Croatia), Giift (Denmark), Pearly Drops (Finland), Zaho de Sagazan (France), ClockClock (Germany), Arny Margret (Iceland), yunè pinku (Ireland), Tramhaus (Netherlands), Ash Olsen (Norway), Berry Galazka (Poland), Ana Lua Caiano (Portugal), freekind. (Slovenia), Ralphie Choo (Spain), waterbaby (Sweden).
ESNS 2024 promises to be a must-attend event for music lovers and industry professionals alike.
