Pantomime Mother Goose, to be performed at the Duke of York's Theatre

After 17 years, Sir Ian McKellen as a woman role is revisiting pantomime in Mother Goose, to be performed at the Duke of York’s Theatre. The London public will be afforded a unique opportunity to see the actor in a female role. The six-time Olivier Award-winning actor toured the country in 2019, visiting 80 theatres as part of his eightieth birthday celebrations. Now he’s blushing his cheeks and putting on lipstick to play Mother Goose and give audiences the joy of the approaching Christmas.

The pantomime will be from 15 December 2022 to 29 January 2023.
