Julia Roberts is not only one of the most beloved and successful actresses in Hollywood, but also one of the most stylish and influential women in the world. The Oscar-winning star has graced the covers of countless magazines, from Vanity Fair to Harper’s Bazaar, but her latest appearance in British Vogue is perhaps her most stunning and surprising yet.
The 56-year-old actress posed for British Vogue’s January 2024 issue, wearing a dazzling pink suit and silver heels by Gucci. The outfit was part of her role as a global ambassador for the Italian fashion house, which she has been working with since 2019. Roberts said that she loves Gucci’s “boldness, creativity, and craftsmanship” and that she feels “honored” to represent them.
Roberts also revealed that she has been inspired by British Vogue’s editor-in-chief Edward Enninful, who has been leading the magazine since 2015. She said that Enninful is “a visionary” who “has a great eye for beauty and culture” and that he has helped her discover new artists, designers, and photographers. She praised his ability to create “magazine covers that are both artistic and commercial” and that he has made British Vogue “more relevant and influential than ever.”
Roberts also shared some of her personal style tips with British Vogue readers. She said that she likes to mix classic pieces with modern ones, such as a tailored blazer with a floral dress or a leather jacket with a sequin skirt. She also said that she prefers simple accessories over flashy ones, such as earrings or necklaces. She said that her favorite jewelry brand is Chopard, which she has been wearing since 2003.
Roberts also opened up about some of her upcoming projects, including her Netflix film Leave the World Behind , which will premiere on January 29 at the London Film Festival. The film stars Roberts as a woman who travels back in time to prevent a global catastrophe caused by climate change. Roberts said that the film is “a sci-fi thriller with a heart” and that it explores themes such as love, sacrifice, and hope.
Roberts also hinted at some possible future collaborations with Gucci or other brands. She said that she would love to work with Alexander McQueen again, as they have done before for her wedding dress in 2002. She also said that she would be interested in creating her own clothing line someday, but only if it reflects her personality and values.
Roberts concluded her interview by saying that she is grateful for all the opportunities and experiences that have shaped her career and life. She said that she is always looking for new challenges and adventures, both on screen and off screen. She said that she hopes to inspire others with her work and style, especially young women who want to pursue their dreams.
