Medea Renewed at the Soho Place Theater

Ben Daniels, Sophie Okonedo and director Dominic Cooke have met to work together on a new adaptation of Medea, Euripides’ ancient Greek tragedy based on 430 BC myths about a woman seeking revenge on the men who once abandoned and betrayed her.
Okonedo will play Medea, Daniels will play Jason/Creon/Egeus.
The play will run Feb. 10 through April 22 at the new Soho Place theater, which opened in the West End last year. Its interior is a curved auditorium that can change configuration for each production. The audience is never further than six rows from the stage.
