The defacement of paintings has increased the cost of property insurance. Museums and gallery managers are shocked.

The attempt to destroy a Van Gogh painting by dousing it in soup and then sticking anti-oil activists to the wall looked bizarre.

But the subsequent bills that came to the museums and galleries did not please the directors and financial managers at all.
