On 2 July, the V&A opens a new exhibition, African Fashion, which looks at the history and culture of African countries and the global influence of contemporary African fashion. The exhibition features more than 250 objects taken from the personal archives of influential fashion designers from the mid-20th century, as well as items from the V&A’s collection of photographs, sketches and videos.
